The Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) have a much shared history, a similar way of life, and languages that can be understood by one another.
There is a high degree of income redistribution and little social unrest. The Nordic countries cluster near the top in numerous metrics of national performance, including education, economic competitiveness, civil liberties, quality of life, and human development.
Political, economical and geological stability, a cold climate, plenty of space and renewable energy makes the region ideal for data centers: Facebook (Sweden and Denmark), Google (Finland and Denmark), Apple (Denmark) and Amazon (Sweden) have already built large-scale data centers in the Nordic countries and Microsoft has announced its first Norwegian data centers.
