Nordavind Data Center Sites

Nordavind Data Center Sites is a joint venture company. We consist of municipalities, power companies, grid operator and fiber network operators. Our data center sites are located along Norway’s southern border with Sweden.

On a not-for-profit basis, we offer a selection of pre-zoned, greenfield sites for medium and hyper-scale data centers and battery plants. We deliver readily available sustainable infrastructure and professional representation. As a result, our clients are able to project, build and operate carbon neutral facilities.

Overcoming the excess heat re-using problem

Excess water with a temperature of 25-30 degrees C is too often a residual waste product from data centers. In cooperation with leading Norwegian aquaculture companies, we have developed a prospect for production of a high temperature tropical species in module based Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). The demand for this product in Europe is very high, and it saves environmentally destructive production and transport from tropical regions.

Payback time for a small/ meduim sized production unit based on net income is calculated to 3 years.
