Nordavind DC Sites, along with Invest in Norway and six other Norwegian companies, will be representing the Norwegian data center ecosystem at Datacloud Europe in Monaco between the 12th and 14th of June.
Erling Aronsveen, Nordavind’s International Sales Director, will be travelling to Monaco along with one of our board members, Benedicte Fasmer Waaler.
Their main focus at Datacloud will be to showcase the data center ecosystem in Norway, as well as to learn from and network with the larger data center industry.
Nordavind is a facilitator of data center sites in eastern Norway. We work with the municipalities and the utility companies in order to offer a portfolio of different data center locations of high quality, says Aronsveen.
The past year has been auspicious for the Norwegian data center industry. The Norwegian government recently released a Data Center Strategy, aimed at strengthening the existing data center industry as well as attracting new investments. The data center industry applauds the strategy, which describes several initiatives that the government already has implemented, such as reducing taxes on energy and property and strengthening the investment promotion function of Invest in Norway, as well as increasing focus on and investment in fiber infrastructure going forward.
The strategy confirms that the Norwegian government sees the value of a healthy data center ecosystem in a modern economy, according to Waaler.
Aronsveen and Waaler will be in Monaco from the 12th to the 14th, and are available for meetings. Aaronsveen is an expert in connectivity, having worked as senior advisor for Eidsiva fiber. Waaler works at the crossroads of digitalization and sustainability, and has worked within and for the Norwegian data center industry for the past 8 years.
